43rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Association of Asheville & Buncombe County, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) entity, is currently planning for our 43rd annual MLK, Jr. Celebration events. The speaker for the Prayer Breakfast will be James E. Ferguson II.
James E. Ferguson II – Mr. Ferguson was born in 1942 in Asheville, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Stephens-Lee High School and was the first president of the Asheville Student Committee On Racial Equality (ASCORE) in 1960. He is a founding partner of the firm Ferguson, Stein, Chambers, Gresham and Sumter, P.A. and has served as President of the firm since 1984.
