We are calling on you to help us identify nominees for the 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award. Many outstanding citizens of Asheville and surrounding areas have contributed to our community through their leadership skills and compassion. The annual award is an opportunity to acknowledge their work and honor them as role models in our civic life.
The 2019 King Award winner will be honored during the Candlelight Service at Central United Methodist Church on Church St. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019. All nominees and the 2019 award winner will be recognized at the 38th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Asheville.
Please download an Adult Nomination Form (and feel free to pass them on to colleagues and friends). We want to recognize all who deserve recognition.
Thank you for your help and continuing support of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Association and our work in the community. For more information, please call Oralene Simmons, Chairperson, at 828-281-1624 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
